Today, March 25th, we get to celebrate 28 years in the pawn industry, but more importantly, almost 40 years of giving back to our communities in Florida by providing high quality, affordable merchandise for bargain seekers and savvy shoppers, and, by giving those who need quick cash an easy, fast way to get it.
We opened the doors to our first pawn shop in Lake Worth in 1995 and have since followed our family’s passion, opening 15 more locations all around the state.

How pawn shops work vs. how Queen of Pawns shops work
Generally speaking, almost every pawn shop follows the same guidelines, rules, and regulations. A customer brings in a valuable item, that item is evaluated to determine its current market value, and then the customer chooses to pawn, sell, or keep the item.
Here’s where you’ll find a difference between us and other pawn shops in Florida.
If the customer sells the item: We like to focus on giving you the most money for your item, rather than the item itself. We pay you the most we can – no ifs, ands, or buts.
If the customer pawns the item: At this point, you’ve chosen to hand over your valuable item as collateral, received payment (or a no credit check loan), and have been given a window of time to redeem your items, and receive your collateral in return.
Your collateral will not find its way to a shelf one day after your must-be-redeemed-by date. We give you 60 days (double the time than most pawn shops) to redeem your items or request an extension! Are you running into a situation and can't make it? Just give us a call, we are here to help in any way we can.
A common question we get asked is, “is it better to pawn or sell?” and the answer is… it depends on your goal! Neither is necessarily better than the other.
